Sure, but my point is, can you name an oppressive Christian regime enforcing Old Testament laws in 2017? Take a look at this map that shows Christian denominations by States. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/gov...692172460f Notice where the majority of Baptists are. Now look at the States that Obama won in 2012. http://elections.nbcnews.com/ns/politics...Zkj2RRlljT. Did Obama win where the Baptists are the majority (maybe Florida but not necessarily where the Baptists are in the majority). RE: Are Muslims the real threat? stupid rightist propaganda

Here in America, I'm much more worried about white supremacists than I am about Muslims.

North Korea, Trump, Putin, Pakistan and the Wahhabists/Salafists are the biggest threats in my book. Muslim governments are only a threat to their local citizens and neighbor countries. I care about what "was" because what we see today is the consequence of the past. paulpablo Quote:Both my Grandfathers survived the world wars, one of them with a stack of medals. I did hear white supremacists documentaries, one of the top shelve ideas they sell is that the white race is at risk due to the immigration of Muslims to Europe. Real dangers and real threats never ring a bell to many; though. Alex K Quote:Who apart from historians cares who were the threats 100 years ago??! It makes you make sense of things around you. Sterben Heh ? Brian37 Quote:Ignorance of not understanding, "That was then, this is now" is a threat to our species, in every religion, not just Islam. The past isn't so different from the future, actually it even builds it. So "then" and "now" are more of a blurry line to me when it comes to who people are. That selling is in itself a contradiction to the "that was then, this is now" rule. Quote:I don't see Atlass33 as an individual as a threat, no, but he does read the same book that Bin Ladin did. Just like WW2 Germans were reading the same bible Martin Luther King Jr did. That's not totally true; Bin Laden's views are based on this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salafi_jihadism This is a misconception: believe it or not Brian, most extreme actions need other books (Hadith books) to make them an actual Islamic sentence. That's the main reason Jihadists blow each other too: difference of affiliations and opinions. Bin Laden used his sects' books. He never used the Quran alone. So the books I read and the books he reads differ a lot. And by a lot, I mean "to a life or death points" paulpablo Quote:If you were in the wrong place in Barcelona today the answer is definitely yes. You and the victims have my deepest sympathies. Catholic_Lady Quote:I am not afraid of Muslims in general. Not the ones in the US. But I am afraid of ISIS, and I hate the Islamic culture/sharia law in the middle eastern countries. I fear for my husband when he has to go out to Syria and fight the bastards. Since America's intervention in Iraq; clashing with locals became a must. Pilots don't see their targets: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/...49486.html FatAndFaithless Quote: Agree with CL. I'm not afraid of conservatives in general, but I'm afraid of the KKK, for example. Being concerned with a legitimate threat isn't propaganda or racism or bigotry. The part where it does stray to bigotry is when one starts applying the actions of a specific group to the general group, or when they conflate something like "Muslim" with "brown people"...which admittedly does happen a lot. Pointing out the wrongs and classifying them never hurts; but the brain usually picks the easiest route; and that is racism and stereotyping. Not all Muslims are Osama. Aegon Quote: I'm not personally afraid of ISIS, but yeah Islamic sharia law is just a list of human rights violations. Statistics from Pew Research Center show that a significant number of Muslims want sharia law or sympathize with radical causes. Sharia law received the worst sponsors in the whole globe: Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, to be fair they did an amount of damage that worth these 600 years, if you follow Hadith books you'll live in the dark ages; that's for sure. Catholic_Lady Quote:I agree, egg. Even in the more advanced islamic countries like Saudi Arabia, they still penalize people who are not Muslim, treat women like property, and execute gays and atheists. Saudi Arabia is not even close to being advanced. Money doesn't buy class. CapnAwesome Quote: The entire history of Islam is war and conflict, either with the west, east, or each other. Also the Turks were definitely involved in WWI. Ignorant view of history. I remember many wars; like "the War of the Roses", "the Hundred Years War", it just so many wars that I can't even recall ! though keep WW2 out of it; I mean the casualties at Stalingrad was above Millions, but who cares?? It's just those liberals; can't see ISIS paying Hitler to fight the war ! Khemikal That's an interesting figure. What Britain did was inviting for a revolt. CapnAwesome Quote: Most muslim regimes are what we would call right-wing anyway. Extremely right wing. Right wing extremists want to stay in their countries; and fuck foreigners Many -if not most- Muslims want to fuck people after taking their land. Kinda like ISIS in Raqqa,Syria. The Middle East doesn't even use "right and left" like America/Europe: we don't have a French revolution. All you see is utter cheap copy-catting of Europeans and Americans (like drinking Whiskey). Mostly; the politics in the region follow the disgusting copy-catting of the West, that results in lots and lots of death. RE: Are Muslims the real threat? stupid rightist propaganda

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
I think a follower of the non threatening religion was stopped outside Buckingham palace today with a sword, they used CS gas to stop this man.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason.
A bomb went off on the London Underground today, my guess is that it was the non threatening religion spreading peace again.

This seems to happen a lot more in Europe than it does here in the US....
