I mean, his first post on this thread had sarcasm in it and was condescending to the atheist members here. But it's nothing compared to the nasty, heinous things Astonished says about theists both in the thread OP and throughout. Can you really blame a theist for having some sarcasm and bitterness in a post after having read the OP and all the other stuff Astonished has said here? And now Steve is the bad guy?? I mean, I try to be fair and objective. I feel like there is definitely a double standard going on here.

I don't hate Steve. Or Wooters. Or GC. Or even Huggy. I think they're misguided, in some cases dangerously so. I think some of their arguments are patently ridiculous. But I don't hate them.

Drich? Yeah, I dislike him as a human being. But the others? No.

I'm sure we'd all get on like a house on fire and have a laugh in person... well maybe... and the whole style of conversation would be very different and a lot more civil I would guess... but forums have a way of distorting perceptions, unfortunately.

CL, of course there is a double standard. Understandably. We are Christians posting on a forum tailored mostly to atheists. Even still, people like Astonished...i cannot understand why he isn't universally condemned by theists and atheists alike.

I pegged him as an obnoxious twat quite a while ago and generally skip over his stuff when I see it. I've done the same with other obnoxious atheist twats. Oddly, I tend to read the obnoxious theist twats (at least the ones who aren't shit and run newbies or trolls obviously destined for the Ban Hammer).

So why isn't Astonished "universally condemned"? Because he's not universally considered important enough to read. If he bothers you so, why don't you skip over his posts?
