Don't be such a hypocrite. This conversation had already devolved into a political discussion and Christian bashing session. The Crusades even somehow managed to make its way into the discussion, for whatever relevance that was. The zealot on the left that worked for CBS who made those comments regarding the people who were shot in Las Vegas is directly related to this event and is news worthy.

Oh sure, the comments are related, but you took it, and decided it represented a whole group of people, because you seem to have this inability to realize that some people are cunts, regardless of political stance.

I'm from the left, and i sure as hell don't like seeing people die, regardless of what their politics are. It's almost as if political stance has very little to do with whether someone can feel sympathy for people who've witnessed a horrific event, what a bizarre concept, right?

1. This was not christian bashing it's relevant criticism sorry if you can't read Ahole .

2. Wanting to stop this from happening again is not political . It's just plain decency .

I won't offer any personal opinions as I haven't grown up in the American culture. But from a logical perspective, how could he have carried out those killings without guns? At the end of the day, sure he was crazy, give him a knife or a baseball bat, let's see how many he can kill?

People always get bent out of shape over a mass killing but they ignore the single killings that take tens of thousands of lives.  So until they get as outraged over one killing as they get outraged over multiple killings it seems to be just fake outrage on their part.

Look at the number of people shot YTD in Chicago =

Shot & Wounded: 2390
Total Shot: 2887
Total Homicides: 534"

But you are right, that was 1,000 years ago, with people using the same bronze age morality of the book you read today, so get a clue, why would you still value that old book? Yeah I think the mistake we made was sending them to a very very large continent. I think the solution now is for America to split in two. The crazy religious gun toting nuts can live in the south and everyone else can live in the north. Give everyone a chance to make a decision whether they want to live north or south and then build a new border. Once people have made their decision to live in the south though they don't get to change their mind. Instead they have to stay there and deal with the consequences (or flee to Mexico). But northerners who like the idea of living in a gun ridden theocracy are free to move south on condition that they don't return.

That way everyone is happy (except the Mexicans).

Yea so? I think some have missed my prior posts where I made this point. Mass shootings ARE NOT the bulk of firearm deaths. But using Chicago is the often go to race baiting by the far right. I am not saying that is your intent, but i see that City used all the time. 

The vast majority of firearm death are not stranger on stranger. The top firearm related death is suicide. Second is domestic violence, third is accidental, last is stranger on stranger. Chicago is used by asshole bigots to say, "blacks kill blacks", yea and whites kill whites.

Of course the bigger the population the more potential for crime, but that is the same for any city in America and the world. What prevents crime, isn't skin color or "just act white", what prevents crime are livable economic conditions. 

This post still does not mean people should have to worry about some nut committing mass murder. There are only TWO things that will reduce gun violence. 

1. Stop making firearms like candy, don't make access so easy.
2. Provide economic stability for urban, suburban and rural, livable wages for all.

The right doesn't have to take it from a fascist Nazi liberal like me. But lets see what a conservative country artist who was on stage has to say.

Our news coverage in Australia says it's 11160 shooting deaths this year with over 300 million guns existing in America.
Apparently, after this event, gun sales will go up, as after the last mass shooting they went up by 4%.
