Where do the nasty bastards come from in the first place?

Quote:Moreover, Scripture reveals that God is sovereign over these evil spirits and has always limited the expression of their sin and its devastating effects. He allows it for only a finite time between Satan’s fall and His coming judgment. Further, He controls the magnitude of Satan’s evil even within that time frame

So the advice from god is; don't fuck with demons.
Q. Why did god make them?
A. Oh look, a squirrel!

Arsoo Wrote:Ok, so usually I completely reject the idea of ouija boards being anything, but I had a question based on an experience that I had.

My parents, myself and my sister made our own ouija board with cardboard, and we drew an arrow on a plate and moved the plate around (all of us)

we began asking questions like "What is your name?" and we got an answer that the name of the so called "spirit" we were talking to was Carvel.

We asked Carvel where he was from, and he said Qatar. We were laughing about this. However, at one point, my mom kind of jokingly asked, if I will ever get married. We received the answer yes. Then we asked where would my future wife be from, and we got Sweden as an answer. Then we asked about the name, and got the answer "Hilvy". At this point, we are laughing, as none of us had ever heard of that name before. We thought it wasn't a real name. Today I was bored and I just typed down "Hilvy" in google, and the first thing that came up was: "Swedish female name". I am surprised. I had no idea that the name existed, let alone that it was Swedish. What do you think happened here?

Mmmm....get back to us when you and Hilvy are married.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

God made angels who have free will just like us. Some of them chose to turn the other way.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Remember god's omniscience? He knew they would 'turn the other way' before he made them, so tell me again, who created evil?

Yes we believe He is omniscient, which means He knew some of them would turn their back on Him. Other than that, I can't pretend to know His exact motives or thoughts. Though it would appear that He at least saw that the good that would come of giving His creatures free will would ultimately outweigh the bad that would come of it, otherwise I imagine He wouldn't have done it.

But no, God didn't create evil. Evil is the absence of good.

RE: Question about ouija boards after strange experience
I'm guessing that a lot of the unbelieving "unprotected" here (me) have used/played with ouija boards in the past, multiple times.

Christians, what are the chances that I encountered evil? How about possession? Should you be interacting with me knowing that I may harbor a demon?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

The real question is whether or not Hilvy has played with Ouija boards! If she is looking for a future husband named arsoo I say we crash their wedding! This marriage is going to be fun to watch.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

Good question that, if evil can be channelled via an inert wooden board, then imaging the mischief demons could cause once they're on your hard drive.
