It's why US gun manufacturers and their lobbying arms like the NRA, etc nearly always go completely silent after mass shootings. Their pro gun positions are indefensible (like fighting against criminal background checks for gun buyers) and they're terrified of engaging in a debate that they know they won't win.

The truly fucked up part, is that we need very little in the way of new legislation, unless we want an outright ban. What we need is enforcement of, and funding for the enforcement of, the existing legislation. Closing loopholes like "personal collectors" selling at gun shows would go a long way as well.

Gun manufacturers are the terrorists. Without these guns, these huge casualties won't happen. The Sauds won't have bombs to bomb; the Vegas shooter won't have ammo to load.

Atlass, don't lump everyone here into the same camp.

Many of us have for a long time pointed out that the VAST MAJORITY of mass shooters in America are NOT Muslim.

We constantly point that out when these things happen. 

But lets be fair here. It isn't like the middle east doesn't have it's own problems, and it isn't like they don't have a MINORITY of individuals that try to spread Koran justified violence outside the middle east, they do.

I don't think Christians or Muslims or Jews as laypeople, understand that the global weapons industry and war are profitable. I do think that greedy people in all camps see violence and war and weapons as a way to make money. Use political, economic and religious ideology as a weapon, and you can pit humans against each other and make money off of it.
