Theism is literally childish
RE: Theism is literally childish
Yep of all the kinds of appreciation I might receive, nothing pleases me as much as gratitude. Especially if they fall all over themselves complimenting me in the process. That's when I know we've really bonded and that they understand just how indispensable I am.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Goodness is God, the fact you deny it, just shows you wish to use the name of goodness, and use his light, to suit your ego.

God?  Balderdash.  Goodness is Philmoore.  Kindly stop using Philmoores name in vain and crediting his work to ghosts.

I'm talking about the saved, for whom hell is no longer a threat.

But it is though, it's a constant threat. Even the most devout Christians are not in a constant state of grace, god can at any time cut the power to the force field separating the saved from eternal damnation. All he needs is reasonable suspicion and bang, down go the shields and the hapless twats have to go through the whole business of confessing and penance once more.
And what about the devout but perma-banned Christians? You know, the ones who cussed out the holy ghost, even inadvertently. The poor sods live their lives in a constant state of terror knowing that no matter what, god in his infinite mercy, has destined them to burn in hell. I think this aspect of the Christian story is the most utterly insane, and the competition is fierce.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Dunno who has a bigger ego, the unbeliever or the one that pretends to know what the creator of all things is.

You assert without reason he is goodness nothing more .

As for the idea of eternal rewards vs eternal punishment . It's a mockery of justice and without doubt the most malevolent system i can imagine.

As for Brians comments i think you missed my point .

Even if it existed i owe it no gratitude . And yes good is not gratitude to your sky daddy.

No hell is still a threat it's just renamed heaven .

You don't understand the rules.

Salvation - yes, can be taken on the death bed.

Rewards - nope, too late on the death bed. Person can still be saved as "one escaping through the flames," as Paul puts it. See 1 Cor 3.

Point is that, even if one believes in OSAS, there are still eternal rewards to motivate good behavior in this life.
So you're all good with genocide. What a horrible position.

A genocidal dictator can save his 'soul' on his death bed, but an extremely ethical, moral atheist gets eternal punishment for a thought crime.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
