Those people in the video that wrote the book teaching people how beat your kid by the bible's guidelines should be in jail too. This video really made me sick to my stomach, not just because of the brutality, but also because these delusional, stupid hicks thought God wanted them to beat their kids.

Apologies, apparently the child who was beaten to death was Lydia Schatz, not Zariah.

Zariah Schatz was Lydia's older sister, who was also beaten and hospitalized, but recovered from her injuries.

Yes, it turns out the book is still in print. An article on RationalWiki actually compares a passage from the book with a passage from Mein Kampf, and not only that, but Hitler actually looks more sane by comparison. Between this and Amy Chua, I think it's only a matter of time before someone publishes a book which suggests that parents sexually abuse their kids.
