Ah, but who knows what lurks beneath the surface.
Republicans can be sneaky, indeed.
Nothing is your own except the few cubic centimeters inside your skull. - George Orwell
Hiding it disqualifies him.
The Tea Bagging morons think parading their idiocy is the way to go. I don't see how this assbag is any better or any worse than any of the other current candidates. He's playing to the crowd just like all the other snake oil salesmen. fuck him and fuck Perry. RE: John Huntsman

From a commentary on Huntsman's announcement for President.
Quote:"For the first time in our history, we are passing down to the next generation a country that is less powerful, less compassionate, less competitive and less confident than the one we got," the former Utah governor said. "This, ladies and gentlemen, is totally unacceptable and totally un-American." Huntsman also pledged to take "the high road" and respect his GOP rivals, as well as his former boss, President Obama. The racist shitheads will never tolerate that last bit. That's why Huntsman can't win. They all promise. Nothing but promises - that they know they're not required to keep. Promises don't mean shit to me anymore. I don't believe Huntsman any more than I believe Barack Obama. If a president ever keeps all the promises he made during his campaign I will stand up in public and commit my soul to the almighty lord jesus christ himself. Please! It's never going to happen. What these sleazebags say during an election means absolutely nothing.
Americans will not tolerate someone who tells them the truth. As H. L. Mencken noted:
The men that American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest the most violently are those who try to tell them the truth. We can't handle the truth.
Is John huntsman telling the truth when he talks about how the golden tablet discovered in upstate new York effects his view of the world?
"As Utah's Governor, he supported legislation that would have allowed civil unions for same-sex couples in the state."
For a Mormon, that's still pretty darn good. I know it's not the same as full blown marriage, but it's a step in the right direction at least. As a rule I only accept people on merit. If he did indeed actively support civil unions and didn't prevent gay marriage, I'll give him his due. Rhetoric during a political race on the other hand, doesn't even warrant an eyebrow raise. |
