RE: Aziz Ansari Doesn't Pick Up On "Non-Verbal Cues" and Gets Treated Like A Rapist

Aha! I knew it. I kept saying you were misrepresenting people's statements and you were all, "Nah, I'm just, you know, jamming about things people shouldn't say." I think you might have a problem with subtleties and nuance. There's a huge difference between, "It's reasonable to assume that she was interested in sex or something along those lines" and "She was asking for it." The former suggests a reasonable assumption you can make in an adult encounter that might lead you to try say grabbing a boob and seeing how that works out. The latter suggests that she's fair fucking game from that point on. You know it. It's part of communicating as a human. You just don't want to conceded to it because then you'd have to admit that maybe everyone who disagrees with you isn't cool with rape.
What kind of logical fallacy is it when you try to make your opponent look like a monster? Is it one? I'll make it one. Argumentum ad Frankensteinium.

I don’t disrespect your position here. But, I have to say, it’s been a long time since I’ve had casual sex, but I don’t recall any man asking permission for that, and can’t think of a time I was bothered by that. I guess I’ve been out of the dating scene for too long, which is a good thing. Marriage is way easier. 😛

Marriage is easier, but that's not consent, either, Camus. Make sure you carry your mace with you around the house at all times.

I'm sure that everyone who disagrees with me "isn't cool with rape"..Shell, lol. That doesn't mean they don't find themselves parroting socially common narratives that they think they're totally above, because nuance and such. It does, though, mean that they;re genuinely shocked and surprised when someone else picks it up.

"Touch my dick"
"Okay now you touch my pussy."
"Okay now you touch my balls."
"Okay now you touch my tits."
Literally every step of the way.
Passionately making out? The way you describe sex... there is no passion at all. How can you even be spontaneous if you have to constantly interrupt the sex to ask questions? You can't.

Alright, alright, we get it. You want to talk about what the things we can't say are and why. Have at it.

Funny how CL posited nearly the same stance AND left religion out of it, but because it was CL saying it, she had her religion thrown back in her face simply because her view was similar to the view of the catholic church. This only further proves my point that if CL wasn't religious and said what she said, her comments would have been accepted as the norm.
How fickle others can be when it comes to where similar ideas originate from.
CL's an undesirable.
I love her to pieces. If we lived closer to each other, she'd probably be my best friend. There's a lot of people that I have a fond affection for on these forums, but I have to say, (and I hope I'm not hurting anyone's feelings) CL is my favorite person here. I just feel like we connect for some reason.

Hahahaha!!
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
