Doctors have no such right . You choose to be doctor you will perform your job or lose it . What's next we start allowing scientologist doctors to refuse to do blood transfers or organ transplants . Do muslim doctors get to refuse to treat blind people . And their is nothing to stop doctors from doing just this . And mark my words they will .

Well, on the plus side, I'm sure there are plenty of atheist doctors who would be more than happy to take money from the pockets of the religious doctors since they wanna cut their nose off to spite their faces. Who knows... the first atheist hospital might come about because of this decision.
Heck... maybe the first hospital dedicated to the LGBT community might happen.

Doctors already have that freedom. Only specific doctors perform abortions. All a doctor has to do is not do that.

I'll say that if I ever meet a doctor who refuses to operate on a gay patient, they're going to need a surgeon themselves.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

They probably already do, something is clearly eating their brain and needs to be excised from their skull.

I'm pretty sure the trump admin didn't consult her for this one, so I don't know why that would be relevant?

This, precisely.
Years ago as an intern - yes, even I was one of those icky things once - working night shift in the A&E, the police brought in a guy for treatment who had just beaten and sexually assaulted a young woman.
I had moral objections about treating him. Do you know what I did?
I kept my objections to myself and did my job.
I discovered later that he had apparently "resisted arrest" several times, which was why he needed treatment.

I don't think this new law means doctors will be allowed to not treat specific patients. Neither do I think such a thing will ever be accepted.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
