It's a reference and starting point.
The reference and starting point comment was in response to LC's:  "That's a strange way to begin a reply in a discussion about why you believe the Bible is true.  I mean...unless you’re trying to reason in a circle."

LC: No, actually.  It’s a non-starter and a logical fallacy.  Logically speaking, it is fallacious to reference the Bible as evidence or reason for the truth of the Bible.  Thanks for playing though.  Maybe some day I’ll get an intellectually honest answer to my question, but I’m not holding my breath.

^^^^^   Worship    If you can use the Bible (which is the claim) to prove that it's stories are true, then you can use a comic book to prove that Spiderman exists.  What is needed, and never supplied, is external proof. Some type of data that is completely removed from holy texts and stories and sermons and apologetics - or anything crafted by believers to try to prove their claim. That's not the way "proof" works.

You are getting an intellectually honest answer.  Magic book really is why people believe in magic book.  It's just that, for all it's honesty, it isn't all that intellectual.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The Bible is the beginning of my reasoning. There's nothing dishonest about that.

Nope still circular

The bible is not a valid axiom. So this attempt at presup nonsense fails .

The bible is dishonest for starters. There is no reasoning to be found therein. If you start there then you are not reasoning. At all.

If the Bible is the beginning of your reasoning, then your reasoning is fundamentally flawed, and I don’t have a whole lot more to say to you.  Long live Harry Potter!

That's pathetic. To use one of the most flawed, illogical, ridiculous pieces of literature ever written as the base of your entire existence?  You would be better off as an obsessed Trekkie, getting therapy to convince yourself that you can actually go out in public without first putting on a Trek uniform and Vulcan ear-pieces.

It's only a circular argument if it is false.

That's what a lot of people are hoping.

I am surprised how long it took you to conclude that I am flawed in my reasoning.

Your response is typical of someone who has either turned their back on God, or has a scant hearsay knowledge of the Bible, and has never really studied it in earnest.
I'm thinking the latter applies.
