Because killing people is okay if they won't give up their legally-acquired property on demand? About 30-35% of American households have one or more guns, and most of them will turn over their guns peacefully rather than take on the authorities. That will only leave a few thousand little Waco scenarios. And sure, there will be some cops killed and some collateral damage, but it'll be worth once those gun owners are all disarmed or dead. It shouldn't affect you personally, because no one you personally care about owns a gun. And afterwards, America will heal right up, just like we did after the Civil War.

Getting rid of Trump, deflating the military budget, gun-control, getting out of the middle east and protecting the internet from censorship. If we can focus on these five issues and put a dent in them, it will be a good start.

You also need to make an A-rating from the NRA poison for re-election. No real change on this issue is possible as long as half of congress is beholden to the NRA and doesn't see a path to re-election without them. The makeup of the elected officials in Congress has to change dramatically, and it will take more than one election to pull it off to the degree needed. A bare majority won't be enough.

How many attempts (in the US) have there even been to confiscate guns?  How did you gain the ability to see into the future and determine the consequences of an hypothetical attempt to confiscate guns?

There haven't been many attempts to confiscate guns in the USA, but Waco (started with search and arrest warrants for firearm violations from the ATF) and Ruby Ridge (failure to appear on firearms charges) come to mind.
Of course the NRA would to have approve, they should disbanded.

No, that's not the only difference. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor. A psychologist is not. Typically here in the U.S. a psychiatrist will have 12 years of education, including a medical residency. A psychologist need not have any medical training and may have as little as 4 years education. There are also psychologists who are qualified to prescribe medication (psy docs I believe they're called). So, no, it's a little more than just being able to prescribe pills.

More than half of U. S. gun owners do not safely store their guns
Date: February 25, 2018
Source: Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
Summary: More than half of gun owners do not safely store all their guns, according to a new survey of 1,444 U.S. gun owners.

Quote:More than half of gun owners do not safely store all their guns, according to a new survey of 1,444 U.S. gun owners conducted by researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

The survey, believed to be the first nationally representative sample in 15 years to examine gun storage practices in U.S. households, found that 54 percent of gun owners reported not storing all their guns safely. The internet-based survey was fielded by the survey research firm GfK Knowledge Networks between March 15 and April 13, 2016.

The survey defined safe storage as all guns stored in a locked gun safe, cabinet or case, locked into a gun rack or stored with a trigger lock or other lock. This definition is based on research showing these practices reduce the risk of unauthorized access or use.

The findings will be published Feb. 22 in the American Journal of Public Health.

Bolded mine. That depends on what you mean exactly by "education". Are you including placement and such as part of it? Because, here in Australia, you definitely need more than 4 years (at least 6 years) to be qualified to become a psychologist.

I did 4 years of education in psychology. Nowhere close to being qualified to become a psychologist, even with an Honours degree.

I saw him running off the stage just because someone hinted that there was a gunslinger in the audience.

I literally just saw this on Facebook. I thought it was satire. Please tell me it's satire?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
