Because of humans or in spite of humans? I'm not sure that all suffering can be reduced.

I'd have to agree with Rskovride. It's a bit long, TD. Maybe you could have put two or three essential ideas in the OP for discussion and linked to the entire piece.
(Of course you could still just do that now.)
