The colour of the jelly is affected by the colour of the light you shine on it.

In a green light the clear jelly looks green.

I was given a recipe for brown jello:

Use the Jolly Rancher green apple jello mix and instead of adding the cold water, use the red Snapple apple juice. Combo tastes like apple cider and red+green=brown, which is the right color for cider.
