To annoy us.

No thanks. I don't want to work that hard. I can't even understand the KJV.

Mostly to learn. I have learned a lot from being on threads. Sometimes it is good just to pass the time and find out why people believe what they believe. It has also given me cause for research.

Yeah?  What have you learned so far?  Seems like all you’re doing is chanting the same thought you already had before you joined.

Evidence for natural explanations so far 100%

Evidence for supernatural explanations so far 0%

God of the gaps anybody!

P.S.  Jesus is dead.

Jesus was dead, however the spirit does not die. Only the body dies.

What empirical evidence do you have for your claim?

He lives Wrote:I have learned many things, too many to elaborate on here. I like to keep abreast of current beliefs and the reasoning behind those beliefs. I have been asked for empirical evidence for my belief in Christianity. However neither of us has empirical evidence concerning the existence of life. This is one of the messages I received:

downbeatplumb Wrote:Life started by some natural process that is what abiogenesis says. There are even some very good ideas as to what they could have been.

But for god there is nothing, what is a god made of and how did it start life? What was its process I want supporting evidence for your conclusions.

Got nothing have you.

You also have the problem that one of the main things that damages societies is religion.

If you look at religious countries now they are all repressive hell holes.
You look at history, religious countries have always been repressive hell holes. From the Aztecs to the protestants, kill oppress and control.

There is no evidence for the claims made by abiogenesis that I know of. I believe that God is made of matter which has always existed however it is much finer matter and we can not see that matter unless it is shown to us. I also believe that our bodies were engineered. There are many eye witness accounts as evidence that God does exist.

I do have a problem with people who believe that religious countries are repressive. I believe that North Korea is very repressive. I also consider the United States to be a religious country.

If you have empirical evidence for biogenesis, I would like to see it.

That's not apparent.  You seem to think that everything you need to know is in your Big Book of Holy Horseshit.

The Bible does not contain all knowledge nor was it meant to. God's knowledge surpasses all of the knowledge on earth. We are here to gain knowledge through our own endeavor.
