"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.
Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.
Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.
Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."

Members of Congress matter because they objectively represent changes to both the DNC and the GOP before and after the passage of the Civil Right Act. You are stating a subjective interpretation based on a narrative the DNC has fostered to cover-up it's sordid and inescapable past. It is based on slanderous stereotypes of Southerners. It makes no sense to me that hardened racists would magically repent to join the party who voted for the Civil Rights Act. There is no logic to that. Democrats want to believe that the "State's rights" policies of the GOP represented a call to return to the Jim Crow laws of the Democrats. The fact is that the GOP, having successfully passing the Civil Rights Act against the will of most Democrats, shifted its attention towards matters that moderate Southerners cared about such as abortion, prayer in schools, etc.

As I said, cultural resentments.

lol Trump was a racist long before Hillary ran for President. Fuck, he was a racist long before the Apprentice. But before that most people didn't give a fuck who he was unless they lived in New York and had to see his ugly ass name on buildings.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

No no no. I'm sure that was just the deep state preemptively working against the fuhrers campaign all the way back to 70's so that it wouldn't succeed in 2016....
....with the Clinton's time machine.
Besides, he had a plausible explanation..he didn't hate the darkies, at least not so much as he was trying to shit on poors instead.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Wow! I've noticed and inverse relationship to the number of facts I present in my posts, along with links to sources, and the seriousness of the replies. You guys should try using facts for a change instead of baseless one-line assertions.

Depends how it’s done.
If for political gain, it’s bad.
If as a hobby, well, everyone needs a hobby.
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:
"You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
