Went to Guitar Center to test an intriguing pedal I’ve long wanted to use that’s arrived. Went to test it. Here’s my response to trying it with the Fender Mustang amp provided.

If there really were angels walking the face of the earth, they would be the medical professionals. I've had my life saved twice by surgeons and their staff. I'm sure that they take it in stride, because there is always another non-positive outcome (how's that for a euphemism?) when someone goes to the hospital nearly dead, or sick enough to soon be dead.

Contract with my friend who is dj'ing my daughter's party, has been signed and deposit paid.
Hall rental is done too. Now I just have to get all the stuff for the cake, decorations and food menu and we'll be all set.

Went to the ballet tonight -- an adaptation of The Handmaid's Tale. Suitably dark and unnerving.
Also baked brownies for tomorrow night's Astronomy Society meeting. Tried something different with half the pan: I split the piece like a layer cake and added a filling and a top coat of mint frosting, to create chocolate mint brownies.

Sitting here with my left arm owned by a cat. Sure, I could move him. But I'm staff. He'll just come back and steal my pillow.
