Actually, from a psychological standpoint it is more accurate for the theist to assume that atheists hate god. We are so conditioned from social conditioning that we eventually assume no one really hates us and that we're just imagining it; therefore, we personally place the blame elsewhere.

I would certainly dislike all the popular cartoon gods, if they were real. All attempts to redeem them just make it worse, and make the person sound like an abuse victim. Since no one has come close to giving me a reason to care about any sort of programmer, the question is irrelevant.
(I'm going to try using "programmer" instead of god from now on, as it’s a less loaded, more descriptive term. Wait, that’s stupid. I’ll use creator.)
