I put on more layers on the outside. Like a fleece or a sleeveless body warmer.

I'm wearing joggers under my outside trousers. Snug and fine.

Sometimes, but I don't have any at present. Depending upon how I manage, I may have to invest in some. Wearing panty hose under pants works pretty well, too. Both are with regard to going outside. I bus it to places, and with making multiple transfers to get to places, I spend a lot of time standing around in the cold.
I don't have reliable control of the heating in my apartment. Depending on the temperature, I put on or take off clothes. If I'm cold, I may put on a light jacket inside or a vest. RE: Do you and yours wear thermal under clothes when the weather gets cold?

Yes, it's a necessity here. We keep our thermostat at 66 to 67F (19C) in the winter, still comfortable with a t-shirt and shorts. We've already hit 18F (-8C) at night. Add in the wind and we'd be stupid not to have thermal layers.

I generally just layer up. However, over the last 7 years, I've experienced unfair hot flashes reserved for women older than myself. So while we use the gas heat in the house, I have a fan trained on my sleeping spot. Most of the time in the winter, I'm in tee shirts and leggings or shorts.

You and urs can wear T-shirt and shorts in the winter because you crank the thermostat up and you wear thermals? That doesn't parse... Define cold. We Don't really count anything above 0°F as cold around here.

Just more layers really.
And a heater for the cats. Must admit I'm not a cold weather person. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" |
