What are you two, five years old?
If you wanted the thread to stay on topic Nap, you could just ask people to please go back to the topic at hand. Threads do sometimes deviate, even if they stay in the same vein.
If you're done with Edgar Mitchell and wish to talk alien shop, we have other threads or I welcome one of you to make a general UFO thread - and put it in pseudoscience and skepticism where it belongs.

I don't see why you got pissed off in all honesty.
No I'm not just interested in this one guy's opinion, but the whole purpose of this thread was to estabilish if he had any credibility and if anyone could shed some light on the claims he's making. So far I think two people have actually posted something relevant to the guy who has his name in the thread title...
I already stated in the OP everything regarding where I wanted this thread to go.

I thought the credibility was more to do with ufos, but I see what you mean. His testimony is important to consider in the whole scheme of things. I'll continue to check him out and see if I can find anything else on him. I got excited about the airforce guys (thanks to Lucent's post in the other thread) because there are many of them saying the same things. I didn't think you'd mind the extra sources, but yes, not much has been discussed about old Edgar, poor soul......

I know that users on this site are good at identifying bullshit, or destroying people's credibility, so what's the low down on this guy? I thought I'd ask here because I guess at least someone can give me more information on this particular interview and/or this guy's background. I hope it will shed some more light on whether or not to take what he's saying seriously. I'm very skeptical at this point in time, years back when I saw this I thought it was mind blowing.

Long story short, no, the man has no credibility. He's a remote healer (cancer no less!) who has what he described as a "spiritual experience" whilst tooling back to terra firma. A proponent of the ever popular "global conspiracy theory", and many other hilarious things as well. People tend to use him as some sort of appeal to the authority of NASA by proxy, unfortunately NASA has weighed in on his opinions and dryly stated that they do not share them. It would be nice to have some evidence to take this any farther, but, as usual the deluded make claims empty handed.
