Again, regardless of whether or not that's true, it's something that racists commonly bitch about..so, when you say it, it really shouldn't come as any surprise that people start to wonder. To get real, though, I'm not a big fan of demonization as a substitute for argumentation. If there's any technique that will guarantee someone will go over to the dark side, it's unreasonably toxic harassment from people whose politics they thought they largely shared.

If I recall correctly, he's already married... to a black woman. I suspect having to live with someone who has to deal with it every day, (and in parts of America that are infamous for racial donnybrooks, if memory serves) might contribute to him being so edgy and excitable about racial issues.
