Yea I'm not sure about the whole "eggs is eggs" thing - whatever the fuck that means - but I have to admit that this church does sound super sketchy. I mean having personal security and not necessarily wanting the police called for every little thing is one thing... but when someone tells you even if you see a fire, don't call 911 - that is pretty fucking weird man, come on.

I think you're being pretty disingenuous, as are others in this forum because we don't really know what the church is up to if anything at all.

What's your evidence that nomad is a "dirtbag?" I admit he/she seems to be jumping the gun in terms of slinging mud, but dirt bag?

You actually think that it's OK that Nomad would copy a client's financial records and hand them over to the authorities? And simply on the basis of Nomad imagining that the client must be up to something?  Even Nomad knows that's a dirtbag thing to do. That's why they said to mail it anonymously. I am fairly certain that if caught, Nomad would go to jail. Copies of a client's financial information is the property of the client. It would be straight up theft of the client's financial information.

I wouldn't trust Nomad with anything.

I finished an assignment at a law firm last week and went out on a new assignment today.  Well, this is going to be interesting.  Not counting the fact the commute is awful there are some other...shall we say - issues.

It's at a rather large Baptist church.  It's in an area that serves very wealthy people...like people who own their own planes and have regular appointments with their plastic surgeons.  This church has been around since the 50s and has been built onto and from what I can tell - takes in a shit ton of money.

So, yeah... the accounting office is in the basement of the original part of the church with the sanctuary above.  I spent over 90 minutes with the safety guy who went over everything from stranger danger to tornados to bomb threats to active shooter protocol.  There are nearly 170 cameras - monitored - on the grounds, inside and out.  God must be slacking if they need all that - I wonder if the evolve fish on my back window is now part of some secret threat file.

Looking at three months possibly on this gig.

So what the problem is?

Do you mean to say your hate for christians is like that of whites who hated blackpeople back at the beginning of the 20th centry? are you so disgusted by christians that you can't do your job?

Or is your understanding of god so limited that the protocols and cameras to you are evidences of no God?

Did you not know on Jesus' last moments as a free man he wanted to goto the garden of gethsemane to pray, and he knew he would be confronted or maybe killed along the way. so he told his disciples to arm themselves. Jesus had it with in him to single handedly disarm all of them, and he infact did so with a single word that dropped the gaurds to their knees. Despite this his disciples did infact bring swords/mechanical means to defend themselves. Why? because not every situation needs the supernatural intervention of God. meaning if we have it with in our ablity to watch with cameras then we are to watch with cameras.

or do you simply not like the accountability the camera put on you?
Wow.  It's nasty-assed Christians like you that give Christians a bad name.  Your post was so uncalled-for and over the top that I found myself searching in the rep section here for the first time to check for sure to see if there was any way I could give you a negative rep.  You are a shame to your people.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

I wouldn't necessarily think it's okay to just send someone's financial records to the authorities for no reason but I would find it my responsibility if I, in the process of keeping their books, came upon something that was clearly illegal like finding out they were hiding money or something like that. At that point, it would be covering my own ass.

There's something illegal going on there. Unless accounting rules are different across the pond, the duty is on an accountant to report illegal activities.

There's no way you can claim with any kind of certainty that something illegal is happening there. Period.

Nomad said to copy the financials. Nomad didn't say anything about having found anything illegal. Nomad is an idiot who thinks he can steal the property of his clients and turn it over to authorities just because he thinks they might be up to something.

If you are a book keeper who finds something clearly illegal, that probably still doesn't give you the right to steal the information. You can go talk to police and tell them what you saw.

Sure, you can report what you know. You probably can't steal the clients financial information though. And you certainly can't steal their information just because 'you think something is going on there'. You can't be trusted, dude. You get crackpot ideas that make you think that you can cross red lines.

I do not remove a client's information. If I run across what appears to be illegal or unethical I will contact the agency I work for and they can determine what to do.

I have to have the trust of the people I work for in order to have the accesses to banking and cloud based accounting systems.

Yea, I was sort of trying to give Nomad the benefit of the doubt. Turns out he's already convinced they're doing something illegal. As to how he came to that absurd conclusion, I have no idea. Oh well.

Nope. Again, GC, you embarrass yourself how little you know the Bible.

Ah, Lucifer was the greatest of the angels, he even walked in the Garden of Eden with God.

(February 22, 2019 at 3:22 am)Godscreated Wrote: God did not need an army to kick Lucifer out of heaven and send him hurling to earth.

FM Wrote:Well, there was somebody making violence in heaven Matthew 11:12 "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force."
Since it wasn't Satan maybe it was just God, we all know how violent he gets.

Not the literal heaven, learn about what you look up on the net instead of posting blindly.

(February 22, 2019 at 3:22 am)Godscreated Wrote: By the way that means God tossed Lucifer from one dimension into another

FM Wrote:Well, that's just stupid and completely uncorroborated.

Your statement prove me wrong and don't come back with I made a claim first, it's ridiculous. Defend yourself boy.

(February 22, 2019 at 3:22 am)Godscreated Wrote: Also, Satan has no more power than God allows him to have as the Bible tells us.

FM Wrote:That's why there are dragons that have much more power than God allows them

Rev. 12:7 "There was war in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels."

And somebody will destroy that Heaven and my guess it's Satan! Mathew 24:35 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

Also we we should note that the word in this verse comes from the Greek word ouranos which is the only word used for "heaven" in all the Gospels so no some stupid excuse of some other heaven.

The dragon is Lucifer, you are falling deeper into a ridiculous hole of intellectual obscurity.

The heaven and earth that is mention in Matthew's passage is this planet and it's atmosphere, and there is the possibility it could be all of the universe. God created it and He alone is the only one able to destroy it. Yet the place where God resides will not be damaged ie. another dimension. Your illiterate mind is showing. We also have only on word for heaven and it is the word "heaven," and can mean the atmosphere around the earth the vacuum of space or the place God resides, one word three places. So tell me are you actually this ignorant or are you just desperate in an attempt to disprove what I am saying.
