I think you're misreading what Tyson said in that clip.  Simply because the elements on earth can be found throughout the universe, there's no requirement that all living things look alike.  Of all the life on this planet, only a handful of species look like us.  Hundreds of species survive quite happily in conditions that would make you want to lie down. If biological evolution had proceeded even slightly differently, there's no real reason to expect that primates (or even mammals) would be the dominant species on earth.

Even postulating a planet with the same gravity and chemistry as the Earth, you would be very unlikely to find Earth-like creatures there, intelligent or not. Does your exoplanet have plate tectonics? A strong magnetic field?  How about a molten core?  A big fat moon?  ALL of these things helped life get where it is on Earth.

And the Horta's goal was to protect its eggs, but that's not where the intelligence comes i.  With a whole colony of miners looking to kill it, it managed to elude them.  It wrote a note to Our Heroes.  In English. Sounds pretty bright to me.

I don't think intelligent life on other planets exists.  SETI has been searching for a long time and they have found nothing.  Also, if aliens do exist, I highly doubt they ever been here.  The distances are far too vast to travel.  I don't buy all the BS they sell us on TV about aliens.  The elite want there to be an alien conspiracy.  That takes our attention away from the Creator God and they use aliens to replace the Creator.

Why would the "elites" waste their time on some massive global conspiracy, with loons, to make people who are already willing to believe silly things...believe silly things?  Honestly, do you think that any sort of conspiracy would be required?

............and the goal, of all things...."replace god"...? Why not "steal all the chocolate eggs"..or, maybe, something remotely in character - money?

The political/financial global elite that rule things in this world.  Many of them belong to secret societies and have infiltrated every nation's intelligence services and beyond.

It's not crap and it's not debunked but you are right.  I will keep some of those views to my own thread.
