I suppose you will grumble about your "rights to be able to shoot stuff" but what about the "right not to be killed by some nutter with a gun"?
Are you so insecure that you can't feel "manly" without a weapon?
Good luck with that.
You might want to practice.
Start with trying to take away food from a hungry pitbull.... Work your way up to a hungry badger then a hungry bear.
When you master that - you' re still not quite going to be ready for a gun owning American.
How about this.
All new guns to have different calibers from guns already out there, no new bullets for the old guns to be made.
Restrict access to the new bullets strictly. Make making the old bullets a serious offence.
You can keep your old guns, you just wont be able to shoot them.
This works with older guns. In the UK you can buy fully working guns without a license but only if you cant get the bulllets anymore.
Problem solved

Bill Clinton banned assault weapons in 1994; mass shootings dropped by 43%.
Bush and the GOP let the ban expire in 2004; they went up over 230%.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Toys? Walmart sells toys. Some directly marketed to young girls.

Those figures directly contradict FBI statistics which show the MAJORITY of mass shootings are with handguns - not " asssault weapons".
Furthermore the ban never affected the ability for anyone to purchase an " assault weapon" - effectively all it did was eliminate flash hiders and bayonette lugs. ( I must have missed the news stories on the rash of drive- by bayonettings that inspired that idiocy)
The other outcome was to cause panic buying before the ban went into effect - and drive prices up. It also solidified the market for " black rifles" which are now much more available AT LOWER PRICES.
Good go.
Keep fucking with it. You might make machine guns more popular.

Most popular movies show problems being resolved through violence. The good guys are the ones who make the most effective use of violence.
You can't have a zillion-dollar propaganda industry and expect people not to learn what it's teaching.

Lol.
I know lots of people who could shoot every day and never have to buy another bullet again.
I could shoot 3 or 4 rounds a day - and never run out.
And that's just 22 long rifle.

The gamers insist that violent games don't make violent people.
Sure.
Playing a game where yoy kill people - 8 hours a day doesn't make you violent -
But a gun in the closet makes young boys run out and commit mass murder.
Sounds legit...

I'm playing the long game here. Eventually you will run out. Its better than the "just let everyone die" approach that is there at the moment.

So only Americans watch TV shows and movies?
Actual problem is White supremacy which is being encouraged by the Trumpm plus easy access to arsenals and ammunition.

"Arm everyone" works so well we are #1 in firearm violence among our allies.
