I made money last year and the past loss carry forward went away, so taxes.

I’m not eligible for the NZ wage subsidy, since I already work from home. The missus will get $585/week for the duration.
We don’t really need it so it’ll go to charity, probably a local food bank.

That's an excellent idea! We don't need it, either.

And if anyone else here is going to donate to a food bank, DON’T give them canned goods or box meals. Food banks partner with local growers and grocers, and are often able to turn small cash donations into large amounts of fresh food.

I had a lot of extra expenses last fall (eye surgery, sewer pipe replacement, etc.) so fell into debt. Gonna pay that down, I'll feel better once I'm back to just owing on my house.

I'll put the money into an account from which I will pay my landscaper this spring.
