A quick Google search will take you to lists of Native American protests. Many are with regard to attempts to uphold treaties and to protect Tribal Land. Those events don't take place so much in downtown areas where there are stores and business to loot and pillage.

The Native Americans are usually concerned with protecting the land, for instance where pipelines are to be laid that will disrupt the natural environment. These Native Americans are often pushed back with brutal measures. There are too few to gather up thousands of people in multiple areas as is happening right now across the country following the murder of Mr. Floyd.

I think there is still a lot of confusion on the part of some as to the difference between a protest and a riot. They are not the same though a protest can definitely devolve into a riot.

If you want to see some disparity in how things are between the Native Americans and the rest of the local population all you have to do is take a drive up into Oklahoma. Unless you are at one of the casinos you will see abject poverty all around with all the ills that come with it.

The Native Americans have been, and still are, treated horribly as a rule in America. What voices they have remain mostly unheard. You aren't going to see Oprah doing a bunch of interviews on multiple TV channels as was on last night. The Native Americans don't have someone with that sort of bully pulpit.

I was just pointing out that reservations today aren’t forced segregation, because no one is forced to live on them. Good thing, since - as I understand it - the conditions on a lot of the reservations are appalling.

I think your comparison with water fountains, etc, is a little off. A better analogy might be the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII.

Reservations started out as forced segregation. And for that matter the fossil fuel industry is still to this day shitting on their tribal land. Trump and the GOP are constantly trying to rape any land, to get the fossil fuel industry what they want.  Just like the GOP  doesn't give a fuck about the air or water quality in Flint Michigan.

Others in this thread besides me have rightfully pointed out to Drich that you cannot compare the reaction of blacks historically to the reaction of Native Americans historically.

Most will date slavery in north america to contact in the west indies, which is also where a good few of the native slaves that get figured in come from.

The problem isn't even white people. The problem is that for all of that time there's been a perverse incentive to the exploitation of our fellow man. It's not coincidental that the history of slavery in north america is the history of sugar, cotton, and early multinational corporations. You're stuck in the same stupid trap, Drich.
