1 million sperm / ml.

Which means something broke for sure.

As it turns out, anything lower than 20 million is considered "low" (according to the doctor).  Me at 1 million is far below normal... so I'll need to see a urologist to get re-fixed.

Makes you wonder......

Hmmmmmmm...

Levitate

Yeah sorry about that.

I know you guys WANT the drama but it's really just a failed vasectomy lol

Not at all...

I just never bet against long odds..

It is great to see someone beat them - but odds being what they are - you are far more likely to get beaten than to beat them.

I guess you need Vasectomy V2.0......

I hope you are able to accept this and will make sure the baby knows it is loved and wanted. Nothing worse than knowing your parents really didn't/don't want you.

Good luck to all three of you...I hope your little family is happy and healthy for years to come.

I'll get over it soon enough.

I'm starting to feel better as time goes by.  I'm more worried about the expenses than really anything else.

I think anyone who doesn't feel this way is foolish. I hope you find yourself really, really excited to meet your mini-me.

You're going to struggle. Raising children is very rewarding AND difficult for reasons that are hard to explain. You will have the most wonderful loving feeling right along side a sincere desire to never see your child ever again. Watch some Louis C.K. his description of dealing with kids is so spot on and really captures the chaos.

I would say to really look to check your male privilege too. Society has rigged us to disconnect and even if you don't have the conscious thought, "women's work" it is probably hiding just below your awareness. I made an effort to be the most diaper changing, getting up in the middle of the night, letting my wife sleep in daddy that I could be and looking back I STILL see ways I let tasks default to my wife. For example, they often do not have changing tables in mens bathrooms so, sometimes, without checking first I would let he take the baby just to save us a little time by having me scout out the changing station situation. We kept it mostly fair I think due to the fact that I'm an early riser and still get up early with our 7 year old.

Whatever happens congratulations on the most life changing thing a person can do with their life!

Just a little tip.
Use the words 'male privilege' if you don't want the guy to do what you say.

Yeah, it is probably too loaded of a word to be taken the way I meant it. I've just seen so many little societal pressure release valves for men to avoid helping their wives. It is hard to explain properly. Hopefully it didn't come off too harshly I certainly didn't mean that I've seen evidence of male privilege within this thread. Hopefully my exposition fleshes out how I've applied the idea of male privilege to my own life.

Good luck. Yes, expenses are highly non-trivial.

Get sleep now. A new baby might trick you the first week or so, but don't expect to see real sleep for years after that.
