Harriett Tubman will replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill
RE: Harriett Tubman will replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill
What, exactly, do you think people would be admitting to?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

To, "What about that Russian guy who saved humanity from nuclear war"?

To, "If paper money changes how will we know they are counterfeit?" And he damned well knows, just like coins change, paper currency has also always shifted in looks over the years. And counterfeiting is extremely rare and the Secret Service and FBI are damned good at tracking it the rare times it does happen.

So watch, he'll go right back to, "Why does Harriet deserve it?
If somebody gave a straight answer to "why" we wouldn't have to go through all this.

I never expect straight answers.

You won't admit the "why".

What "why" is it that you are accusing him of not being willing to admit?

Instead of keeping the same faces on bills and coins for decades, why not swap them out every few years? A move toward equity might even be to gradually get rid of politicians forever, and start honouring Americans from other fields - scientists, explorers, musicians, authors, etc.

You do it for postage stamps, you could do it for coins and banknotes.

Good idea - with one big drawback.

The BIG reason to keep bills the same - is to help spot counterfit bills.

When you get a new bill - with a new look - how do you know it came from the Treasury?

....

Lmaoooooo. Yeah, they got the guys over at Treasury working double shifts to try and figure that out!

Just imagine what's going to happen when OLB hears that a federal bill authorized the white genocide of currency from here to 2030.

You want the story? Here’s what I’ve been able to gleam about how it happened: people have been wanting more diversity on American money (at least something more than the Susan B. Anthony and Sacajawea dollar coins), and eventually, The organization that championed the idea (specifically focusing on women) held a poll on which woman would be best and Harriet Tubman ended up winning the poll. The people spoke, Barack Obama listened, Donald Trump didn’t, and Joe Biden went back to listening. And that’s why this discussion is even taking place.

Feel free to disagree about whether or not the desire for more varied faces on money is a valid issue (though it does reflect the fact that historical power has long been exclusively in the hands of white men, which is something many do not like), but the fact remains that there is, in fact, a reason they latched onto Harriet Tubman, namely, the people chose it.

"The people chose it"?

Uh...

Bullshit.

Did you see that on a ballot?

...

Some people chose.

"The people" were not consulted.

I mean, I guess we could've run it past The Folk....but we kinda already knew what you thought on the matter, right?

You could also participate in how these decisions are made, if you like. That's how it's done. The tubman change was scheduled, not announced on the whims of the mad king. That's how it got delayed.

It's an example of people sleeping on their rights and then claiming abrogation at a later date due to their own disinterest and laziness.

Nothing stops OLB from organizing a stop the steal rally on behalf of poor put down upon jackson and the white unworthy everywhere.

He already answered you, And to date, you have yet to come up with a single objection that hasn't been refuted.

OLB LOGIC -  If everyone didn't vote on it then the people didn't choose it. Because that's how that works Hehe
