Aaaaaaand Winter derails his own thread....again, and starts preaching and spreading propaganda. Nothing to see here, pass along.
I claim: "Appearance of ring is nothing special* Viking merchants went to Bagdad and the red sea"
Winter replies "Yeah, there is a movie about a muslim scholar traveling to Viking territory"
Cant make up this silly BS responses from Winter. Really.

I like the little hidden nugget in amongst the posts wanting to see a sales receipt for the ring. Because it obviously had to have been stolen.

Muslim slaves had the freedom to become even caliphs of the whole Islamic realm; just like the Mamluks:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mamluk
Quote:Mamluk (Arabic: مملوك, romanized: mamlūk (singular), مماليك, mamālīk (plural), translated as "one who is owned",[2] meaning "slave",[3] also transliterated as Mameluke, mamluq, mamluke, mameluk, mameluke, mamaluke, or marmeluke) is a term most commonly referring to non-Arab, ethnically diverse (mostly Turkic, Caucasian, Eastern and Southeastern European) slave-soldiers and freed slaves to which were assigned military and administrative duties, serving the ruling Arab dynasties in the Muslim world.[2][4][5][6]

The first empire to ever defeat the infamous Mongols was the Mamluki Muslim empire:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Ain_Jalut
Quote:The Battle of Ain Jalut ([url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_language]Arabic: معركة عين جالوت, romanized: Ma'rakat ‘Ayn Jālūt), also spelled Ayn Jalut, was fought between the Bahri Mamluks of Egypt and the Mongol Empire on 3 September 1260 (25 Ramadan 658 AH) in southeastern Galilee in the Jezreel Valley near what is known today as the Spring of Harod (Arabic: عين جالوت, romanized: ‘Ayn Jālūt, lit. 'Spring of Goliath'). The battle marked the height of the extent of Mongol conquests, and was the first time a Mongol advance had ever been permanently beaten back in direct combat on the battlefield.[13][14]
Our slaves were our brothers and sisters, not like Uncle Tom.
(Bold mine)
And that makes it better somehow?

You are not brothers even when you are just different denominations and kill each over it, let alone "brotherhood" towards slaves. Not to mention the treatment of women in Islam that is worse than towards some animals.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Uncle Tom was a slave. It's worth reading (and, yes, I have read it, multiple times); one of the most influential books in United States history. The South, by the way, vehemently denied it as being representative of the institution of slavery.
