On the lunacy of free will

RE: On the lunacy of free will
The op is Wrong. I'd retract this but I have no choice in the matter.
"For the only way to eternal glory is a life lived in service of our Lord, FSM; Verily it is FSM who is the perfect being the name higher than all names, king of all kings and will bestow upon us all, one day, The great reclaiming"  -The Prophet Boiardi-

To the OP, you do you believe your claims because you think they are true or because the initial conditions of the universe make you believe it?

You want a real answer? The only meaningful choice to be made is whether or not to believe in God. Most people believe in God. Believing in God does not guarantee you're going to Heaven, but at least you'll be in the drawing, so to speak. And Hell will be much worse for someone who doesn't believe in God, than someone who does believe in God.

You can believe these things, but of course you must understand that your belief in no way guarantees these things are true.  And as I've pointed out to other theists here, just believing in god is not enough.  You have to believe in the right god.  If you get the wrong one, you are no better off than disbelieving completely, possibly worse even.

The fact most people believe in some god doesn't add any credibility to your position.  For one, they don't agree on which god is real.  Much of what they believe is mutually exclusive, which means they can't all be right.

I do think it's unique that you believe that belief in god doesn't guarantee you get into heaven, but apparently gets you better treatment in hell.
Why is it so?

Yes.......like I said, Heaven is only for the best of the best, like a very exclusive night club. Good times can be had outside of that club, but the particular joys of the club can only be found inside the club.

Actually, ahri, I'm pretty sure you said that heaven is only for god botherers, not the best of the best. That choosing to believe™ was the only relevant metric?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Also, it doesn't matter which particular deity a person believes in, just as long as they believe in some god.

At least we can agree on something. Whether you get into heaven doesn't depend on what god a person believes in.

No one gets in, no matter what god they believe in. You're talking about your dreams, remember?

My dreams are too vivid, detailed, and realistic (even down to an emotional level), to be bullshit.

I'm sure your dreams aren't bullshit, they're your dreams - just as I'm sure that you said getting the golden ticket was an issue of licking boot (some boot...any boot..apparently), the only meaningful qualifier.
