But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” - Revelation 21:6-9
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years. Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways, so I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’ - Hebrews 3: 7-11

I can understand opposition to the serious tag. But I liked the idea at its inception. And (though its problematic sometimes, ie. this thread), it has done some work in keeping certain discussions free of bickering and insults.
Again, I understand folks who don't like the idea. I agree that it's problematic, and it stands for a censorship of sorts. I share your apprehension about that. But it ain't all bad. And mods can use their discretion to determine that an OP doesn't deserve a serious tag. So it kinda works.
