RE: Noteworthy News
There are "freedom convoys" in NZ heading for the capital to protest mask and vaccine mandates.

One left from Auckland in the north, the other from the bottom of the South Island.

Hiccup: the Southers have reached the town of Picton to catch the Interislander ferry to Wellington. But the Interislander requires vaccine passports to board. Something many of these idiots don't have.

They're now calling on small, private boats to ferry them to Wellington.

The forecast for the Cook Strait, considered a seriously treacherous stretch of water, is for 2+ metre swells.

It's being called "Dumbkirk".

A guy on Twitter filmed himself giving the finger to the idiots as they drove past him in Dunedin while shouting abuse at them.

Razzies nominations are out

Quote:Topping the list with nine nominations — including worst picture, actor and actress — is Netflix’s filmed version of the Princess Diana Broadway musical, Diana, the stage production of which closed on Dec. 19.

Other top nominees, with five nods each, including for worst picture, are Netflix’s The Woman in the Window and Quiver Distribution’s Karen, the Taryn Manning-starring thriller, the trailer for which went viral last year.

Warner Bros.’ Space Jam revival landed four nods, including for worst picture, as did Universal’s movie version of Dear Evan Hansen. Both the Mark Wahlberg starrer Infinite and Renny Harlin’s The Misfits landed three nominations each, with the former scoring a nod for worst picture.

A handful of Oscar contenders also landed Razzie nods, including Ben Affleck (who experts say could get an Oscar nod for The Tender Bar) for The Last Duel and double nominee Jared Leto for The House of Gucci, a performance that some Oscar experts have said could land him a best supporting actor nod from the Film Academy. Oscar nominations will be unveiled tomorrow morning and the votes have already been cast.

This year the Razzies also added an all Bruce Willis category for worst performance by the actor in a 2021 movie. There are eight nominees.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Lol, most of the chuds whining about masks have none of the above and even if they did you can breathe fine with any of the above ailments while wearing a mask.

I’ve seen video of your fellow citizens at local council meetings sounding off about how masks infringe on their freedom, are poisoning them with CO2, and trapping the toxins they’re trying to exhale.

Given the volume at which they speak, their lung capacity seems just dandy.

Edit: Just to be clear, anti-maskers are vastly different from those people who don’t wear masks because they legitimately can’t.
