Republican U.S. lawmakers donated more than $380,000 last year to the campaigns of eight colleagues who Donald Trump is trying to drive from office, prioritizing the goal of regaining control of Congress over the former president's desire for vengeance.

At least 71 Republican members of the House of Representatives and Senate transferred money to the campaigns of seven House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump on a charge of incitement of insurrection arising from last year's Capitol riot and Senator Lisa Murkowski, who voted to convict him.

Politics is bullshit because if humans were even half decent they could have solved politics ages ago.

Sure, that is not to say that there is no hope for our species ever at all. But it is to say that it's a very long way in the fucking future at best. And we'll likely be extinct by then.

I mean, to be honest, rather than worry about humanity when most humans are cunts anyways I'd rather focus on myself and the few other humans are actually worth the air that they breathe. Which is effectively identical to them being worth my time. Because if somebody isn't in my presence then they may as well not exist as far as I am concerned.

I have compassion for all beings in terms of my ideals but realistically any desire to help idiots, and they're basically all idiots, only makes things worse.

One form of hate and bigotry just gets transposed into another. One shitty politician replaced with another. It's like having to choose between two bowls of shit and picking the one that smells better. And if you ever actually vote for anybody half decent they'll never win anyway because people are fucking STUPID. And even the best people, who are never going to get in power, are still very weaksauce. Humans in general are dumb cunts.

Fuck 'em, I say. I'm here to have fun and make friends with the few other decent people on this beautiful planet (the planet would be more beautiful without this dumbass tribal species that we called 'humans')
