Discussions about Ukraine by uninvolved parties are mostly useful for one thing only: figuring out which propaganda sources they're listening to. It's sort of surreal the way people reinforce their emotions and then parrot what they wanted to hear.
Here are some sources which offer alternatives:

Ayup. Simply because a lunatic, disbarred, criminal solicitor offers an ‘alternative’ doesn’t validate him.

I guess its safe to say that Moonofalabama is an "uninvolved party". So kudos to Belaqua for telling us which propaganda sources he is listening to
I am just wondering why it was so important for Bel to point out that he has no better (probably eve worse) sources than everybody else around here.

Mhm..
Quote:In February, Russia invaded Ukraine as a response to almost eight years of killing and criminal destruction in the Russian-speaking region of Donbass on their border.
How many time does putin have to tell these dipshits they're wrong about why he invaded? Consortium also pushed the neo nazi garbage.
Credit where it's due, russia has a line of risible propaganda to appeal to any interest group. To the point that a fairly cut and dry issue of a country full of people fighting for both self determination.. and self preservation....becomes a muddy or ambiguous or even unbelievable scenario. Thankfully, no one offering them will have to die for shit takes on the russo-ukranian war - that's left to the ukrainians.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. More of Putin's brilliance in action:
Quote:ZOLOCHIV, Ukraine, Sept 12 (Reuters) - Ukrainian forces swept deeper into territory seized from fleeing Russian troops on Monday, as joyful residents returned to former frontline villages and Moscow grappled with the consequences of the collapse of its occupation force in northeastern Ukraine.
Ukraine's general staff said early on Monday that its soldiers had recaptured more than 20 towns and villages in just the past day, after Russia acknowledged it was abandoning Izium, its main stronghold in northeastern Ukraine.
[...]
In what remained of Russian-held territory in Kharkiv region, Vitaly Ganchev, the Russian-installed head of Moscow's occupation administration acknowledged that Ukraine's troops had broken through to the frontier.
[...]
As thousands of Russian troops abandoned their positions, leaving behind huge stocks of ammunition and equipment, Russia fired missiles at power stations on Sunday causing blackouts in the Kharkiv and adjacent Poltava and Sumy regions.
Ukraine denounced what it described as retaliation against civilian targets for its military advances. By Monday morning, Reuters journalists in Kharkiv said the power was back on, although the water was not yet working.

Russia isn’t just losing the war. They’re losing it so badly that Putin is in real danger of losing the support of the Republican Party.

Russian Apologists " Dur Ukraine Evacuating Civilians proves they don't want to fight"
Reality "Yeah that's not how that works"
Russian Apologists " Dur Ukraine being pressured by Russia into a peace deal means they didn't want to fight"
Reality "Yeah that's not how that works"
It's non-sequiturs the whole way down.
