Russia and Ukraine
RE: Russia and Ukraine
I've never gotten the impression that ukraine and russia actually disagree about what to do to russian troops.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Russia and Ukraine
You know what?

I have no problem if Ukraine targets Russian military assets on Russian soil. It doesn't matter if those assets are Russian soldiers, mercenaries, military bases, or hardware.

Russia has been indescriminately firing missiles into Ukrainian cities, kidnapping children and murdering civilians.

There has to be a price paid for that.

So long as they don't start targeting Russian civilians or civilian infrastructure, I say have at it.

You've spent so much time and energy trying to justify Russia's atrocities in Ukraine that your protestations ring hollow. I'm not asking for virtue-signaling, I'm asking for honesty, a trait you're apparently unable to grasp.

Graham's a neocon? lol You might want to learn the terms you're using before tossing them around, you'll look less ignorant.

Using a hypothetical is never stupid. The point was crystal clear. According to Nudge, a person is the actions that they take. To me, a person is their wicked thoughts and plans, combined with their actions. And you guys understood my point perfectly, because you had to obfuscate by pretending I was being literal and not using a hypothetical.

Yes, when you turn a power like Russia's satellite state (Ukraine) into a liability for them, and blow up the Crimean bridge and blow up pipelines and bomb Russia's nuclear triad inside of Russia, and you show Russia that almost the entire West is behind them by providing weaponry, Russia is going to respond pretty harshly. This is war. It's not going to be pretty. Countless innocent people were killed and targeted, by all sides, during the world wars. Yes, Russia has gone beyond that in breaking international laws of war, but even still, there were going to be loads of innocent casualties regardless.

What truth do you want to know? You want to know if I believe there needs to be regime change in Russia? Not particularly, and I think it's counter productive for politicians around the world to be talking about such. Am I glad that Russia is destroying innocent people's lives? Obviously not, as my preference would have not been for Russia to take the land they will take inside of Ukraine. My preference would have been that Ukraine didn't get too big for its' britches, and war didn't break out. That's the truth and that's what I wanted. And I'm aware that fighting has been happening already for years, and you have Crimea and all of that, but when I talk about war breaking out, I'm referring to the more recent invasion of Ukraine.

It's too late for the war to not break out though, so you want to know what I want at the current moment? I want a peace deal, which the spy documents show Zelensky knows is going to have to happen very soon. That means giving something up. May as well give up the couple of spots that are already the most pro-Russian. Be done with it and end the war. Yes, this is what I want. And I don't want it because I'm pro-Russia. That's not the reason I want a peace deal, and that is the truth, whether you want to believe it or not. Zelenski knows that a peace deal must be reached soon, and he's going through his fighting forces pretty quickly, so you can't keep up the war endlessly. I know this. Zelensky knows this. Russia knows this. Which is why they will take the couple most pro-Russian places, and peace will be made, whether it's China or India helping put the peace deal together. The US need not play a role in the peace deal since China and India have stepped up to the plate. There doesn't appear to be an alternative to peace, which is why you guys should be shifting your positions right now, because you guys are pretending that the Pentagon documents don't exist, when they show us, clearly, how this war must end.

RE: Russia and Ukraine
Sounds like a good peace deal. Russia gets all the non existent pro-russian parts of ukraine, and then fucks off.

I also wanted to point out for you, Thump, that if you ever see me using the term great Satan and stuff like that and you might see that as me betraying an ally of my country, I don't mean that in the same way that the Muslims getting blown up by drones are meaning it. I don't actually believe in a real Satan, and I actually identify more with Satan than God, as Satan is the knowledge giver. They call Canadians such nice people because we are trained to be this way. To avoid conflict. To self censor and hate the American idea of free expression. To smile things off. We are trained from a young age to dislike America and Americans, and I was especially trained by Canadian society to be super anti-war, and 9/11 happened my 1st week of high school. The teacher said the yanks finally got a taste of their own medicine, as we were watching the towers set ablaze on a tv in class and the entire class roared out in laughter at the teachers remark. This is how we do things here, in Canada.

If Canada had the means though, and the power that the US has, we'd be the great Satan. Any nation would. It's easy for Canada to be seen as such peace lovers, when we just don't have the means to be as bad as we could be. With great power comes great responsibility. As the world's superpower, the US has certain responsibilities. I fully understand this. I'm glad the US stepped in during WWII. So again, me calling the US the great Satan is kind of just a playful thing. Don't take it too seriously. I'd rather the US run the world than China, for sure.

No there are times using them is stupid and this was one of them and no your point was clear as mud and no one  obfuscated or pretended anything this was a stupid method of argument and simply called it such. So this statement is bullshit. Much like the non-point you were trying and failing to make.
