I agree with both statements. Babies are a good example of something wholly good (that is not evil at all) that has free will.

-and more than a little bit disturbing if absurdly true.  We don't let sex crimers sex crime just because they freely will it.  Hey...maybe they do..but even so.  God is there on the tip of every offenders peener - sees the whole sorry thing.  Could do something, but doesn't...because it doesn't want to prove itself too much.

This, according to a christian. To me, it seems like the proposed solution is even worse than the issue it's being propped up as an excuse for.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Is that an image of your great great grandson ?
Your history of telling me how I think and MIS-interpreting what I said is here for all to see.

Maybe not on topic, but there was this now banned user who posted here, a post I received a notification about. Their name was JESUSLOVESYOUSUBMITTOHIM101, and that post was deleted, it seems. What did they say?

They were purged from the forum for being a spammer.  The process of purging deletes posts where the banning of a member does not.  You will just see a line through their name and "banned" under their name.

I see. Anyway, I have another question:

If free will does not exist, and there is evidence that it does not, do you all think that people are living lives under the belief that they do not understand that they are not really exercising free will? In other words, do you think people are living a lie in terms of thinking free will exists?

Of course, people are wrong all the time about lots of things -- and live life, and make decisions on the basis of wrong information all the time.

I'd be interested in seeing this evidence in detail.

Or that "free will" is irrelevant to most people.

I don’t think it would be living a lie so much as being earnestly wrong about a thing. We do that a lot.
