The far left here in the US is so angry about Biden's response to Gaza that there's a real risk of them not voting for him -- or at all.
Good observation. Many an election has been lost due to single issue voters.

Sure, but single issue voters are nothing new.

As narrow as the polling is, less important than novelty is the thin margin Biden has for re-election. If the far-left stays home over Gaza, that may well spell another term for Trump. I don't think this is a "been there, done that" moment.

Didn’t say they were.

Not necessarily. It hasn't been established that Trump will be the GOP candidate, for one thing. Same goes for who could be the Dem candidate.
It also won't be a Gaza single issue if the border issue also plays a role for enough voters. There's even plenty of other issues beyond that, such as inflation, fuel costs, rent, etc.

That kind of misses the point of what a single issue voter is.

Yeah, but you, me, and the Pope know that in all likelihood it will be Biden against Trump. There are no Dem challengers to Biden, firstly, while on the GOP side, Haley is behind 40-70 points.

You missed my point, to wit, Biden needs every vote he can get, and that the margins are small enough that American Muslims staying home (2.15 million adults) could make a real difference. I'm not saying that this is the only concern-issue.
I see no reason for complacency simply because single-issue voters are nothing new.

I'm not sure what you're getting at - I already know what a single issue voter is.

It misses the point because you correctly stated that people who vote based on more than one issue are not single issue voters. Thump was pointing out that, if enough people who are single issue voters on Gaza stay home, it could cost Biden his re-election.
Saying that some people aren’t single issue voters misses the point precisely because it doesn’t address the point.
