Pulling my turkey out of the brine. I had the turkey wrong side up. Oops. I thought that might be the case, but wasn't sure and didn't want to lift the bird in a bag filled with fluid.

We had a neighbor on Ft. Jackson who cooked their Thanksgiving turkey with the bag of innards still inside.  OOOPPPPS.  All of us in the court donated some turkey and gravy for their meal that year.

The only thing I’ve ever brined was a partridge, more than 20 years ago. Such a disaster, it scared me off brining forever.

Getting ready to go back to the cardiologist for an ultrasound of my heart and carotid. Love this late afternoon appointment as it means my return trip will be during rush hour. FACK!
