Population Doubling Time is a well known concept. It takes around 200 to 300 years at most for a population to double. But if that is true, since 2^10=1024=1000 (approx.), then it takes only 2000 to 3000 years for a population to increase by a factor of 1000. Next, since the population is only in the billions and not the trillions, there have been only 3 such increases [(10^3)^3] in all of human history. There's no tradition of genesis being about some ice age settlement at the bottom of the sea. None.

-and why would there be? Neither the authors of genesis nor anyone in between ever had a clue about anything like that. Only people who would know better would know about that. People say all sorts of weird things because there's a tradition of saying them...but that one is not one of those things. We're dealing with something altogether weirder than tradition when we see stuff like that.

The garden of Eden doesn't exist. It is a corruption of the Bablyonian/Persian of idea of parādaiĵah where their heaven equivalent was considered the perfect garden.
