I went to a religious school and over the years I've had a tough time with it all. I'm more in the atheist camp and I doubt a lot of it, but there's been some odd things that have happened in my life and I've struggled to explain them like I would say okay God if you're real show me this specific thing that I thought was rare to see and then I would see it the same day. That sort of thing has happened a couple of times. I think it could just be a coincidence. Everything else more or less makes me doubt that it's true but some of these odd events make me wonder please can you give me your thoughts on this type of thing.

What ‘specific’ things did you as god to show you? I mean, if you asked to show you a blue car or a brown dog, I’m not impressed. If you asked him to show an albino hippo playing ‘Stairway to Heaven’ on the autoharp, you may have something.

It was cartoon characters that I don't see often I tried to pick something that Is uncommon for example earthworm jim that come from the cartoon and the tick on two separate occasions I had this thought and then ended up seeing them on the same day

I know it sounds a bit stupid it just religion did a bit of a number on me and I've got you know a kind of mind which is prone to anxiety and worry

It's just a coincidence, dude. Don't worry about it. Try to let it go, if you can. Coincidences can be strange, but no matter how "strange" they ever seem to be, they are not proof of anything.

Thank you for your kind message I really appreciate it I am sorry if I come off as a bit silly.

Religions have an 'us vs them' polarizing nature which may not be present in other communities. Though I've seen some of that among Humanists. Sometimes people need to be reminded not to phrase their comments as implying that liberals are the good guys and conservatives the bad guys. Many a comment has started with, "But we don't do X" where X is something that conservatives do, implying that those present are the liberal good guys.
