The whole DOGE thing is either paranoid delusion in action or, more likely, bullshit. Our government already has mechanisms to report and correct waste and corruption. However, Trump and Musk propose that the whole government is riddled with waste and corruption, and that they can save taxpayers a trillion dollars of their tax money by exposing and removing it.
Now for the bullshit interpretation. They really know there isn't that much waste and corruption, but they are saying so as a cover for their real motives, as propaganda. They want to selectively remove Democratic initiatives from spending approved by Congress. They are, in fact, trying to delegitimize the whole Democratic party by saying that any Democratic spending is mere waste and corruption. No wonder they are not going about their efforts by legal means, through Congress where such efforts can be debated and approved by the careful weighing of evidence. No wonder they call the courts corrupt for trying to stop them.
They are fascists after all.

You have to Google the pics and video of the press conference in the Oval Office where Musk is standing and Trump sitting behind his desk while Elon's son digs in his nose and wipes his hand on the germaphobes desk. Priceless. Trump is so far to the other side of his chair that he is nearly sitting on the arm to get as far away as he can.
The desk will have to be either sterilized or replaced.

How do you know this? Do you pay a lot of attention to the Office of Management and Budget? Do you have the list of USAID projects at home?
Or is it more of a faith-based conclusion? Like "trust what your government tells you."
No one should trust Elon. On the other hand, you can't decide what's true based on the fact that you don't like Elon.
There should be receipts.
As a small example, they are claiming that USAID bought Chelsea Clinton a big expensive house. Once upon a time there were people called "journalists" who could have followed the money and figured out whether this was true or not. Now we mostly have partisan talking heads who parrot the talking points of one side or the other.
The history of USAID is full of questionable programs. Taking a hard look at what they do is just good sense. It would be better if we could do it without partisan hate-based grandstanding on both sides, but that's what US politics is these days.

The story has already been debunked, as I linked above and which link you clearly ignored. The fact that you are apparently unaware of this debunking shows how open you are to countervailing facts.
