Russia and Ukraine
RE: Russia and Ukraine
To be clear, I think bidens backing was weak, but safe..and relatively effective. The short range himars are what did the russian artillery doctrine in, for example. They could have done more with the system, in my opinion, but that would have necessarily come at the cost of tasking some number of units to that rather than the extermination of russias remaining self propelled guns.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. Unsurprisingly, this is no longer a military conflict, at least not primarily.

I can't verify this from elsewhere -- all reports cite the same source here, Unit Observer -- but if this is true it means Russian troop levels must be catastrophically low.

Quote:ussia is sending to the frontline personnel who oversee its nuclear arsenal to carry out assaults in which many troops have gone missing, it has been reported.

Open-source intelligence X account Unit Observer said that the troops from the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) were used as assault infantry in the Toretsk direction of Ukraine's Donetsk region in an operation not publicly discussed.

Newsweek has contacted the Russian defense ministry for comment.

Trained nuclear personnel, or guards with knowledge of those operational routines, are the last people you want up on the front, not only because that impairs your nuclear warfighting capability, but just as importantly, they risk capture and interrogation by the Ukrainians.

May as well send the cooks.

BTDT, in almost every unit there, I bet.

Good thing for Russia they have nukes. Otherwise, they would be ripe for invasion.

Russia is noe sending the people who know how to deal with the nukes to the front lines. Nukes have to be carefully handled (yeah, I know, dropping one on its head won't make it detonate, but it may make it so it won't detonate) and require a lot of maintenance. Russia may well end up with an inoperable arsenal.

Nah, Monty was right, don't march on Moscow. Not for fear of the Russian military, but rather the winter, and the mud on either end of it. It's a pigfest bracketing horrific cold.

Across the board, a significant majority of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the war.

That's okay. Norman V. Peale says will it and it shall be. This is the sole algorithm in Cheeto's head. Trump is perfect in Trump's fragile mind. This is what he and Space Karen have in common. They are Ubermensch.
