Ah ok, I would describe that as old stock rather than current inventory, except the 2025 model. I think all are destined to rise, but old stock might see a lag (I expect demand for cheaper prior year models to increase because of tariffs on new models).

I'm going to limp along on my 2 year old phone until it no longer works.

I'm probably going to buy myself a backup before the tariffs kick in. I use a cheap moto, but I don't need to pay an extra fifty bucks.

The Oompa Loompa's tariffs have fucked my remaining PIP, originally invested because I don't have a personal pension, as I have had to find work were and when I could over the years. I used half to live off over the last few years, after I lost my job and the Covid pandemic destroyed the aviation industry I worked in, and my ex wife took every penny I'd saved as a precaution against just such a scenario, in a divorce she started to run off with someone else. I know, irony can be a bitch, and it was just starting to recover as well, thank fuck I have found some part time work as a contractor. Looks like I will be nursing my chronic back pain through a few more years work, into my 60's, bugger. Luckily I replaced my aging Samsung phone just recently, so it's not all bad.

Sorry you're having a tough time of it. If one thing, perhaps the tariffs will turn European buyers to Airbus and BAe and give you a better employment market? One can hope.

My phone is just going to have to last a while.  It's only about a year old so hopefully I can get some time out of it.

I did buy a new laptop at the end of the year.  I have an old one that was dying piece by piece and a newer one that's about two years old.  I need a decent laptop for work and other things so I moved the newest one to my work stuff and the next one is my playing around on unit.  The old one still holds some files that I need to get off there before it completely croaks.  But I figured I would get in before the Trumpitarriffs hit.

Yeah, I picked up an old, refurbished HP for gaming in January, and use my slimline for writing and watching videos. And we have Discount Electronics down here, which refurbs/resells computers of all sorts at good prices. They're a couple of years behind state-of-the-art, but I'm not trying to design a fusion reactor or anything.

I believe they ship, too.

Oh I am not really, plenty of people worse off than me sadly. At least I can still work, even if it is occasionally very painful. Though my heating boiler did just die, and I had to buy a new one, damn you trump!!!!
