Pet Photos thread where too much is never enough.

From Blackie's last bit of pain I posted about not too long back, we still have leftover gabapentin (for dogs) from the prescription, which are not really used as he's back to normal. We also have some canine otc aspirin for him, but they don't seem to help much. The latter can be found at Petsmart, or ordered online.

I'd just like to have something on hand to use now and then.  Sometimes Zig gets a little gimpy.  He spent the better part of a month not being able to jump up on the couch to lay in his favorite spot...I swear it was the endless rainy weather we were having as he is doing much better now.  He was not open to the steps that I had for another dog...so much for old dog-new tricks.  LOL

smh - of the three dogs, Zig is the one that usually avoids the mud outside. We have to leave for the vet in an hour and he just got done tap dancing in that sticky black clay and then paw painting the kitchen floor. Currently he is sulking as his breakfast has been withheld. This is gonna be fun.

So, Zig is good. I know there is something in him besides Cavalier as he is quite big for the breed; but whatever it is has helped keep him heart-healthy which is a plus.

Got his ears cleaned out and some meds put in as he, like many spaniels, is prone to itchy ears and infections. Teeth good. Shots done. Meds on hand for stiff and sore days.

He was ready to get out of there and dragged me to the exit doorway, planted his feet and would not come back so I could get the paperwork. He could see the car and he was done with the shenanigans in that office. One of the women at the desk had to bring the paperwork to me...he's a sweet boy but can be quite stubborn.

So, all the annuals are done for the year.

I knew letting the dogs out was going to be a challenge with all the rain we had today and how saturated the ground is. But they needed to go, so I got out an old towel to clean paws. It was worse than I imagined as Harley showed up with a dead squirrel in her mouth...it was quite dead but it took both husband and I several minutes to pry her jaws open to get the damn thing away from her.

All three are banned to the kitchen for the rest of the night. They are wet and muddy and Harley has squirrel breath.

Update:

Stew died a couple of weeks ago.

The neighbour was spraying his paths and I think Stew was poisoned.

I am sorry that you lost Stu/Stew.

Sorry to see this. People should exercise more caution when applying pesticides. Stu was a bunny, yes?
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
