I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Perhaps only now they're realizing that he lied to them too. It's demographically existential. I think he has a point in that the conspiracy mindset they've championed for more than a decade is coming home to roost in the suspicions that his own AG is now part of the "deep state". In other words, the seed they've planted is now bearing some poisonous fruit. I don't know that it's "demographically existential", nor indeed do I even know what TGN means in writing that, but I think the distaste and growing distrust is exactly to be expected when one sows radical conspiracism as a means to power. Once you're in power, you're either killing the cabals or becoming one, to these conspiracists. That's how I'm reading his post you've quoted. He'll no doubt correct me forthwith, and that's all to the good. The MAGAts don't care about his laundry list of crimes including 40 convicted felonies. He is a massive bigot, a misogynist, a liar of epic proportions, a cheat, a cruel prosecutor of those who are different from him, a cold murderer who withholds food and medical care from children - just for starters. But they can't handle him screwing some underage girls? Not that that's a trivial crime but it's just the tip of the iceberg with this monster.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

But I think not posting a list of the enemies who are LISTED is a pretty big letdown for folks who are primed by tabloid headlines and need something at which the might point their pitchforks. "Wait, where's that list? No Joe Biden? No Chuck Schumer? No Ketanji fucking Jackson?!" These people want blood. They want names, they want targets, they want doxxing. Trump didn't give them that. After Bondi said she had the list on her desk, she comes out and says, "Well, no, there wasn't actually a list, nothing to see here, move right along," these people who have been imbibing conspiracy theories for 10+ years are suddenly deflated by the government they voted for. They knew Trump is a cunt. They even suspected he'd be on that LIST, and would be willing to forgive him. You and I both know that. But not putting out a LIST laying out more targets?! Unthinkable. They don't care what Trump has done; they want ammunition for further ploys. They want their conspiracy fever-dreams ratified, and Trump dropped that ball. Whether it hurts too much, I doubt it. His followers rationalize everything he does in the end.
I see that Pam Bondi has fired the DOJ's ethics chief. Apparently, it's a bad idea to combine ethics with justice.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
