Christians: "All other gods are so fake that we should totally ridicule them. It's even our sacred duty commanded in the Bible.
But if someone mocks Jesus and our religion, then they are crossing the line of decency. They are persecuting us! They should totally respect every belief we have! But fuck Buddha and Allah."

Bailey Redmond says that it was her compassion for those who are lost that led her to first sing “Buddha is dead, Muhammad’s in the grave, Allah is silent, they’re all dead idols”. She wants to proclaim the truth and to rebuild God’s altar (like Elijah did in 1 Kings 18) in the context of a nation where she believes Christianity is under attack.
So should songs like this be written and sung? I think it’s hard to argue that they shouldn’t because at its core, the song is expressing what we believe to be true. After all, many of us sing Chris Tomlin’s “Our God is greater / Our God is stronger / God you are higher than any other”. Granted this song feels more in your face than that, but they are essentially expressing the same truth. Ultimately, we need balance. God is holy and jealous, but God is also compassionate and kind. We need songs that speak to all of these truths.

This Dean Withers debate takes me back to the days where I was trying to reconcile the Christian idea of God as a good and all-powerful being who still sees fit to allow horrific things to happen, and realising that free will didn't actually make things make more sense, and desperately trying to find any conclusion other than God:The Devil::Big Brother: O'Brien that makes sense.

Have you tried the UFO/alien meditation? If enough people do this, it will bring utopia and half a million years of world peace. I mean, do you like peace? Why don't you try it? Remember Pascal's wager: you won't lose anything, but you can gain everything.

Earlier this year, relics of Alexander Nevsky, another medieval prince and military hero revered by the Russian Orthodox church, were also sent to the front.
