If there's no God, nothing is right or wrong
RE: If there's no God, nothing is right or wrong
A follower of Ayn Rand, lol. God no. As I keep telling you, I’m a person who believes that there are objective moral standards. That moral propositions can be true or false, regardless of whether a person accepts them, follows them, does or doesn’t get into shit for not following them….what have you.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It’s in his responses. I get it—you’re too ignorant to understand what The Grand Nudger wrote, and you’re far too dense to have it explained to you even though he has essentially spoon-fed it to you. I have more brain cells than 200 of you combined, and unlike you, I don’t subjugate my mind to AI. The only one here who delivers ridiculous responses is you, because you are an utter simpleton. Your comment is just another example. Now I fully expect a typical ridiculous response from you, because that’s all you provide. Go play with AI—it’s clear actual people are not your speed.Hehe

All this time I had no idea you do believe in objective moral standards. Must be your wordy posts lol. No disrespect, I've literally been confused.

Let me at least tell you what I think an objective moral standard would be:

A law that is binding for every human in the universe. But in order for it to be law, it has to be enforceable. If it's not enforceable, it's not a law. The atheist can only point to a supposed "truth," but even if something is true, there's no obligation to obey it. Suppose we discover some sort of text in space that indicates laws for humans to follow in the universe. That text got there through natural processes. Fine. It's truth. But why am I required to follow it? All I have to do is evade the consequences, and I'm fine, not caring that I'm judge for not following this "objective" truth.

What’s with the air quotes? You deciding that you’re willing to flaunt the truth doesn’t make it any less true. Moreover, a law so defined can be enforceable regardless of whether or not it was true. We’re not talking about the same thing. I’ve been trying to explain objective morality to you and you’ve been demanding some form of legalistic relativism.

I don't believe any objective morality exists for the atheist. But even if it does, it's meaningless if I can evade it. Therefore, it's not an objective standard at all. Can you give me an example of any objective standard in the universe that doesn't need to be enforced?
