So much for the greedy libertarians...

So much for the greedy libertarians...
Rand Paul has returned $500,000 to the US treasury that was part of a sum of cash initially afforded to him for the expenses of running his offices.

How's that for fiscal conservatism? If half the US politicians had anywhere near that much fiscal responsibility their country wouldn't be in such a financial mess.

I cannot fault Ron Rand Paul for being:
- consistent (mostly)
- fiscally conservative.

If most US Politicians did not get rich from being in office... ... ...

But I can fault him for being batshit.

I'm sure the lobbyists far exceeded that paltry sum when they purchased his vote.

He's a scumbag. Just like his old man.

What? A politician returning money to the government treasury? He must be insane.

Speaking of his old man... I really don't understand how Ron Paul can sit there with a straight face and expect anyone to believe that he didn't know that a newsletter published under his name with his signature for a number of years carried racist comments. If anything was being published with my name on it, I'd personally check it before it was distributed. If he's lying, he's a racist scumbag. If he's telling the truth, he's a clueless idiot.

Then vote for him.

I personally am not impressed...not to mention the dude is nuttier than squirel shit.

..and how is that "fiscally conservative"? All it says to me is that he has so much money that he can afford to return more money in one year than what most folk make in a lifetime.

It tells me that this man is so rich that he will never be able to understand the common man.

regardless of my own bias against the tea party and Paul's bat-shittery, the man deserves at least some kudos for taking the initiative to do something honorable. Even if it was in the selfish interest of gaining future voters, it's a commendable action and I wish more politicians would take a lesson.

Lest we forget. No political party holds the moral high ground and if you think yours does, you are as brainwashed as the religious nitwits that claim they have the one TRUE god.

The bacteria in my toilet has more value to me than a bunch of lying, money grubbing, power hungry assholes ruining my life because they want a bigger limo and another house in Turks & Caicos. At least the bacteria is honest about it's existence and it's intent.

One of the many reasons why we should all be anarcho based. Authority should be distrusted.
