So much for the greedy libertarians...

RE: So much for the greedy libertarians...
Once again Void I think you have your head squarely up your libertarian ass.

Give it about a minute and your boy is right on top.

If you need to see it in print.....

http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/12/09/...aff-roles/

Quote:The Washington Post reports that Ron Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican who defeated Sen. Russ Feingold after complaining that Feingold "embraced lobbyists and declared himself to be on their side," has himself hired homeland security lobbyist Donald H. Kent Jr. as his chief of staff.

Among others the Post cites:

- Sen.-elect Mike Lee (Utah) has hired energy lobbyist Spencer Stokes as his chief of staff.

- Tea party favorite Rand Paul (Ky.) has brought on anti-union lobbyist Douglas Stafford as his top senatorial aide.

I'm sure you will see nothing wrong in this....you probably believe in the fucking easter bunny too.

Don't sit there 12,000 fucking miles away and pretend that you know what the fuck is going on in this country, alright?

I'm a resident of Kentucky, Rand Paul isn't fit to run a 7-Eleven.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. Of course...thats why I posted it Smile

"None of them are smart enough to manage an economy efficiently, " - wait, I thought Libertarians were all for allowing the economy to manage itself by the "invisible hand".
Quote:You obviously didn't read the page, so allow me to explain it to you.

He was GIVEN a pre defined amount of taxpayer funds just like every other senator to run his office, but rather than being like most of them who spend it all he's mange to waste $500,000 LESS of it.
Okay..fine...where was that money supposed to go?

He's not some rich prick, for the last 20 years before entering politics his job was as an ophthalmologist (eye doctor),
By the Gods...I must vote for the Paul's!

Wait, what, somebody is claiming that the Pauls, bot Rand and Ron, aren't rich pricks? They're millionaires, many times over.......Speaking of his job, seems he had a little dispute with the board which certifies the overwhelming majority of his profession. He went a different route...and formed his own cert board along with a couple hundred others. I guess you really can write your own ticket in this country after all.....

I disagree with your analysis and here's why: All that you can determine is that he hasn't spent 500k$.

What you cannot infer (what you've inferred):
- he doesn't want to spend your money (you've not analyzed other income sources.)
- intelligence in managing an economy (no model in the US has been put into practice for testing. So we have no verification of such would succeed. It is a neat academic idea, worthy of testing, but let's not give 1st prize just yet).
- lack of ambition (there is nothing that the act of returning money, especially publicly like this, that would justify ambition or lack thereof)

It tells me that this man is so rich that he will never be able to understand the common man.

You obviously didn't care enough to read the OP properly, so allow me to explain it to you.

He was GIVEN a pre defined amount of taxpayer funds just like every other senator to run his office, but rather than being like most of them who spend it all he's mange to waste $500,000 LESS of it, the biggest refund to the taxpayer for a senator in US history.

And he's not some rich prick either, for the last 20 years before entering politics his job was as an ophthalmologist (eye doctor), helping people see and shit...

The last sentence makes no sense. Being a doctor does not make one not "a prick".

For the record, there are plenty of pediatric oncologists. Are they endemically "not pricks" too, by virtue of helping children live?

Forgot to add the evidence for prickdom. (Sorry, I actually live in his little fiefdom, so this is all pretty common knowledge round here)

Opposes same sex marriage.
Opposes abortion (even in cases of rape)
Opposes legislation limiting the amount of money that can be donated to candidates by individuals, corporations, and organizations.
Opposes the Dept of Fucking Education...goddamnit!
Opposes granting citizenship to children of illegal immigrants born in the U.S.
Opposes ALL gun control legislation......

Ah, a shining light at the end of this dark tunnel.
Opposes the Patriot Act..good good...wait
Supports the detention of terrorists in Gauntanamo Bay and subsequent military tribunals, motherfucker!

What else does he support?
A return to the gold standard (surprise surprise, his family is heavily invested in precious metals)
Marijuana? Well, not exactly, the most you can get out of him is "harsh sentencing"..wouldn't want to disturb our base now would we?
"The Free Market" the ultimate conservative political platitude.

Look, I'm sure he's probably a nice guy (if you're not gay, raped, 1st generation american, a teacher, caught out of curfew in a warzone, or, let's face it...poor). Then, of course, this is the guy who said that we wouldn't really need laws if everybody were a christian.......in the same interview that he mentioned that the civil liberties act needed further discussion, as it may violate business owners rights (you know, like the right to refuse to serve a nigger a cup of coffee).

Seriously, anyone who supports this asshole, fuck you from Kentucky.
(His Pappy's even worse..imagine that)

How's that for fiscal conservatism? If half the US politicians had anywhere near that much fiscal responsibility their country wouldn't be in such a financial mess.

I kudos you because no Australian politician I know of as every done that.
