They didn't understand what Jesus really wanted, its hard, the body is weak but the spirit is willing. So the ones that wanted this world did abuse it. Does that mean everyone did? Does that mean Jesus wanted them to?
The extremity is a difference. Why do you think he said give all your possessions to the poor? Material is of no importance and compassion and love for the poor and destitute should be recognized. Marriage is of no importance. Mohammad had wives, Moses had a wife, Zeus had a wife, Thor had a wife, Joseph Smith had wives, and even Buddha had a wife, i wonder why? These are all human affairs concerned with this world. He is not of this world and hes showing what is truly important. Common sense is already, common, I'm not looking for that.
PS love your sig.
Jesus was a homosexual, that's why he didn't marry.
And has anybody wondered how Mary got away with telling her mam and dad that, honestly, she wasn't a little tart that slept around and got knocked up, but that god really did it?
Jesus, liked men and his mother was a liar and a whore.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

I believe in god because it's a possibility. And I feel there are decent odds that he exists.
I also believe in time travel, and we never see them because they miss earth when they travel. It is moving rather fast. Hard to hit a moving target.
I believe the universe is infinite and the laws of the universe change as you get further away from our location.
I tend to believe things that I like. Of course if you ask me for proof, you're an idiot. If I had proof I would be using it. And I wouldn't be calling it belief.

I'm sure noone would dream of asking you for proof, pre-emptive retaliation notwithstanding. However, something in the way of justification for your beliefs would be nice. A little evidence would be even better.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'll get right on that. But really I just have an overactive imagination, and I'm really wired to believe things. It's hard to manage all the fleeting fancies I have. luckily I'm also wired to reality enough that my beliefs do not evolve into personal truth. I know where to draw the line between belief and knowledge.

I'm sure that's a relief to us all
It's perfectly fine, nay laudable, to have an active imagination, or even an overactive one. Human history would have been all the poorer without any such. Just keep in mind the importance of critical thinking. Not long ago I shared a video illustrating this very point which I think will be of value here. Rather than clutter up the server with another copy, I'll link to the actual post:

Not forcing their beliefs on others as political policy is necessary too.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
